Taekwondo is a martial art originating in Korea. It is the national sport of Korea as well as an Olympic sporting event. Taekwondo loosely translates as "the way of the hand and the foot."
Like many martial arts, taekwondo has ranks called ‘Kup’. The grading in taekwondo consists mainly of patterns, ‘poomsae’, techniques and theory.
Over 200 students, children and adults alike, is participating in the classes organised by Allen Taekwondo Academy. Mixed-skill setting allows faster ramp-up for beginners and lower grade students.
Participation in tournaments refines skills and amplifies focus in ways that are unmatched by other means of training. It is also fun and exhilarating experience for students.
